I love to make stuff out of junk. This is my beloved sculpture "Weeping Willow" which I just finished recently. Sort of an integration of my black and white photography and my love for shiny metal things and glass. The photo scraps all involve my favorite people. Made with wire coathangers, a pair of headphones, a light bulb, sheer fabric, a glass bottle, various keys, paper clips, keyrings, a mirror, one or more pull tabs, a nail, aluminum foil, photos, a piece of a coke can, and a little bit of hot glue for the lightbulb and for backing the photos with foil. The majority of the wire was molded with pliers and most of the metal things are held together with other metal pieces. I got a tiny shard of metal in my eye for my troubles but fortunately I got it out.

Me with my sculpture:

A painting called "Robots," don't really know what I was thinking...it's a girl if you were wondering and she's supposed to look kind of mechanical...somehow. Which is why she doesn't have any hair. This all made sense in my head, I swear.
